ORDINANCE NO. 5715• AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $1,608.79 FROM THE SPECIAL HOSPITAL FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR THE LITTLE ROCK CITY HOS- PITAL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY -H LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the special hospital fund of the amity of Little Rock the sum of Cne Thousand Six Hundred might Dollars Seventy -nine Cents (_.1,608.79), or so much thereof as may be necessary for the purc ease of the follov - ing necessary supplies and equipment for the operation and main- tenance of the Littleock General Hospital. 72 mattresses; 112 Yds 36" bubber sheeting xxitx2tttR and 13 yds. 45" rubber sheeting; 3 Ice boxes; 1 pump in boiler room and 1 pump in Ice plant; 1 Reseating out -fit fcr repairing plumbing fixtures; Putting in and furnishing 20 lights for windows; Repairs on old boiler; 35 steel cans for making ice; Fads for patient carriages; Lawn shower; Electric and plumbing supplies; Traps, valves, galvenized iron sheets; yard hose, bolts, washers solder, pipe fittings, discs; bib bolf-,screws etc. SECTION 2. The 1oard of Public aff airs is hereby autho- rized, empowered and directed to proceed to advertise for bids for the purchase of such supplies and equipment and to make all necessary contracts for the purchase of said supplies and ec:ui7- ment . SECTION 3. '1hereas, said equipment and supplies are nec- essary for the operation of the said Hospital and same is neces- sary for the preservation of the peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby found to exist and said ordinance is declared to be necessary for the preservation of the public '_ health, peace and safety and same shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
