ORDINANCE NO. 5337
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $2099.44 TO PAY
FOR THE CITYIS PROPORTION OF THE CONSTRUCTION COST OF
THE AIRPORT ROAD PROJECT KNO NN AS JOB NO. 6198, U. S.
,`ORKS PROJECT irJ.P S.M.S.395Ai AIM FOR OTHLR PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, The Federal Government and the -)tate Highway
Department will cooperate in the construction and paving of a
portion of the road adjacent to the Little pock ,`unicipal _yirport;
and,
='HEREAS, The bid which the Iighway Department deeded to
be the lowest and best bid for said work was ,'2099.44 in excess of
the amount allotted for said project; and,
?iE-�EAS, The construction of said project can be started
immediately if the City of Little Rock pays said excess.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. That there is hereby- appropriated from the
Road and /or Auto fund of the City of Little Rock
the sum of ?2099.44 for the construction of said road which is
more completely described as Job .,'o. 6198, U.S. 71orks Project -:.P.
3.?V.3.359A. ":aid amount shall be payable to the hate Highway
Commission upon the proper requisition of the Commission as said
money is needed in the construction and the .'ayor and City :::lerk
are hereby authorized and directed to pay s ai d sums as they are
properly requisitioned by the State Highway Commission:
LECTION 2. 7�.Thereas, the construction of said project
will result in placsig many men at work who are now unemployed, an
emergenc; is therefore declared to exist and this ordinance is
found to be necessary for the immediate ,')reservation of the public
peace, health and safety and the same shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
