5367kw IN 5 ORDINANCE NO. 53 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ENTERPRISE LUMBER COMPANY TO CONSTRUCT A LUMBER STORAGE PLANT ON LOTS NO. 10 & 1.1, BLOCK NO. 93, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AS TO THIS PARTICULAR PROPERTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROB; ARKANSAS SECTION 1. That upon the passage and approval of this ordin- ance the Enterprise Lumber Company shall be, and they hereby are, authorized to construct a building on Lots 10 & 11, Block No. 93, Original City of Little Rock. Said building to be 34 feet frontage on Center Street, running thence west to the alley line, a distance of 140 feet. Said building to have a concrete pier froundation with wood support and metal roof. There is to be constructed across the front of the building on Center Street a brick wall. There shall be on both the north and south side of said strage plant a vacant apace, with no buildings thereon, of 33 feet. SECTION 2. All laws or parts of laws in conflict with this ordinance as pertaining to the specific property herein described are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. jhereas the Enterprise Lumber Company had a dis astrous fire to destroy its plant at the above location some two (2) months ago, and whereas said company employs approximately 80 persons who are now idle because of said fire, and whereas it would be for the benefit of the peace, health, safety and general welfare of the City of Little Rock that this building be immediately con- - structed and that the above - mentioned parties be re- employed, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be I in full. force and effect from. and after its passage.
