136551 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 13,655 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN ANNUAL PURCHASE CONTRACT WITH MID -SOUTH SALES, AS PRIMARY VENDOR, AND KNOX NELSON OIL COMPANY, AS SECONDARY VENDOR, FOR THE PURCHASE OF GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL FOR THE CITY'S FLEET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, Invitation to Bid No. C13002 was issued for the annual purchasing contract for the purchase of gasoline and diesel fuel for use in City -owned equipment, and Mid -South Sales submitted the lowest qualifying bid, with Knox Nelson Oil Company submitting the next lowest qualifying bid; and, WHEREAS, purchases under this APO are estimated at Four Million, Two Hundred Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars ($4,225,000.00) annually; and, WHEREAS, this APO is for one (1) -year, with an option to renew each year, for up to two (2) additional years; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an annual purchasing contract with Mid -South Sales, as the primary vendor, and Knox Nelson Oil Company, as the secondary vendor, to provide all gasoline and diesel fuel for the City's fleet, in an estimated annual amount of Four Million, Two Hundred Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars ($4,225,000.00). Section 2. This APO is for one (1) -year, with an option to renew each year, up to two (2) additional years. Section 3. Funds for this purpose are allocated in the Fleet Support Services Fuel Budget. Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
