AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $1019985.00 FOR THE PAYMENT OF
MATURING PRINCIPAL AND SEMI- ANNUAL INTEREST COUPONS ON FUNDING BOND
ISSUE OF MAY 1, 1925, AND SEMI- ANNUAL INTEREST COUPONS ON REFUNDING
BOND ISSUE OF NOVEMBER 1, 1935; ALSO APPROPRIATING $5.00 FOR PAYMENT
OF SERVICE CHARGES IN CONNECTION WITH PAYMENT OF INTEREST COUPONS NO.
1 OF MAY 1, 1936 OF SAID REFUNDING BONDS, TOTAL APPROPRIATION
$101,990.00; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the sum of $101,995.00 be and the same is
hereby appropriated out of the Bond and Interest Fund of the City of
Little Rock for the payment of the following indebtedness due and
payable at the Chase National Bank, New York City:
Maturing principal of bonds numbered 479 to
546, inclusive. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 69,000. oo
Semi - annual interest at 4-21,% per annum (coupons
Numbered 22, total principal being $1,433,000.00) . 32,242.50
Interest coupons numbered 2 due November 1, 1936
for semi - annual interest on refunding bonds Nos.
1 to 66, inclusive, dated November 1, 1935,
(total principal being $33,000.00). . . . . 742.50
Minimum fee for paying $742.50 face value of
coupons due May 1, 1936 detached from City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, W, Refunding Bonds. 5.00
Total. .$101,990.00
Section 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authoriz-
ed to issue the City's warrant or warrants therefor drawn on the Bond
and Interest Fund payable to the Peoples National Bank, Little Rock,
Arkansas, for the payment of the maturing principal, semi - annual
interest and service charges herein recited in such amounts as they
deem for the best interests of the City; the said Peoples National
Bank to remit the amount received to the Chase National Bank in New
York City for the purposes herein recited.
Section 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
oonflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
