AN ORDINANCE DECLAZ NG THE OWNING, OPERATING AND/OR MANAG-
ING OF RADIO BROADCASTING STATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK,, ARKANSAS A PRIVILEGE•, LEVYING A PRIVILEGE TAX THERE -
FOR; PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO PAY SAME; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROC[,
ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. From and after the passage and approval of
this ordinance the business of owning, operating and /or managing of
a radio broadcasting station, within the City of Little Rock, is
hereby declared to be a privilege and an annual privilege tax in the
sum of One Frei dollars is hereby levied. Said tax shall
be payable on or before January 1st of each year and shall be for
the calendar year. The first such tax hereunder shall be due and
payable the first of January 1937. Any person, firm or corporation
failing to pay said tax shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than
Twenty -five ($20.00) nor more than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars,
and in addition thereto shall be required to pay the tax; and each
1day that said violation shall continue shall be a separate offense.
