AN ORDINANCE AUTHORI"ZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, AS TRUSTEE OF THE SEVENTH STREET UNDERPASS FUND,
TO PURCHASE SUCH PROPERTY AS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR A
RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR USE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN UNDERPASS
ON SEVENTH STREET; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR FUNDS FOR
SAID PURPOSE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of the
Road Fund of the City of Little Rock the sum of Four Thousand
($4,000.00) to pay for the necessary right -of -way for the con-
struction of the seventh Street Underpass.
SECTION 2. If it be ascertained by the .`ayor and the
Board of Public Affairs that said right -of -way can be purchased
for a less amount than appropriated in Section 1 of this ordin-
ance, then the least amount necessary for the purchase price
of the necessary right -of -way shall be used therefor and the
balance appropriated in Section 1 of this Ordinance shall re-
vert to the Road Fund from which same was appropriated.
vECTION 3. The right -of -way described in Section 1
of this ordinance being necessary for the public peace, health
and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
