BE IT OR )�' I_4ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
SEC'_'ION 1. In order to better promote efficiency in
the Fire Department of the City of Little Rock, it is hereby or-
dained that all employees of the ;-,ittle --?ock Fire Department
shall be graded by the length of service that such employees
have served in the respective departments, and such divisions
shall be as follows:
(1) Employees Who have served one year or less
shall be known as "probation men ".
(2) Employees -io have served two years shall be
known as "two -year men".
(3) Employees who have served three years
shall be known as It free -year men ".

aECTION 3. :salary schedules rierein provided s, all be
effective as of February 1, 1937:
SECTION 4. It is hereby ordain -ed that the Fire De-
partment shall have the following; officers:
Chief of Tire Department, First Assistant Chief,
c-econd Assistant :lief, Third Assistant hi ef, Inspector, ec-
retary, Iliechanic, Electrician, Captains, Junior Capt=ains, Op-
erators, Laddermen and Hosemen.
'ECTION 5. The officers provided for in \section 4
herein shall receive the follovring salaries which shall be ef-
fective as of February 1, 1937 and shall continue until sale are
changed by pro^er ordinance of the Council.

SECTION 6. hereas it is necessary, in order to ue-
pare the budget for the City of Little Sock for the ensuing fisca .
year, that this ordinance become effective immediately, an emer-
ency is, therefore, hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
is found to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the
Public peace, health and safety and same shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passa _e and approval.
