AN 02DINERCE TO MEND PARAGRAPH THREE OF SECTION FIVE
OF ORDINANCE NO. 5225; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUYCIL OF Ti- E CITY OF LITTLE
DOCK, ARKANSAS
SECTI_T 1. From and after the passage of this Ordinance,
paragraph three of section, five of Ordinance No. 5225 of the
ordinances of Little Mock shall be amended to read as follows,
to -.:it.
"It shall be unlanful for any person, firm and /or corpora-
tion to sell, offer for sale or `;ive away any such liquors on
Sunday or on any State, County, -`unicipal and /or District primary
or general election day except on election day it shall be law-
ful to sell such liquors 0after the time designated by law for tie
closing of the polls."
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
Iflict herewith are hereby repealed.
IECTIuN 3. 'hereas, the liquor stores in adjoining cities
are permitted to open after the closing of polls and the liquor
stores in Little hock are not allowed to open on the day of an
election, thereby causing great financial loss and inconvenience
to the people of the City of Little Hock, an emergency- is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
