5442Ilk A 1;k 17 ORDINANCE NO. 5442 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARY SCHEDULE OF THE EMPLOYEES IN CERTAIN OF THE DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AS OF MARCH 1, 1937; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS SECTION 1. That effective as of March 1, 1937, the employees in the departments listed in Section 3 hereof shall receive compensation not to exceed the salaries on a monthly basis in an amount set opposite the respective positions as listed in Section 3 hereof. SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it is necessary, in order to prepare the budget for the City of Little Rock for the ensuing fiscal year, that this ordinance become effective immediately, an emergency is, therefore, hereby declared to exist and this ordiance is found to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety and the same shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
