AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2096 OF BRICKHOUSE
AND CASTLE DIGEST OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK BY REDEFINING THE CONGESTED DIS-
TRICT OF THE CITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE.' ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. That Section 2096 of Brickhouse and
Castle Digest of the ordinances of the City of Little Rock,
same being Section 2,0rdinance No. 3913 as amended by Ordinance
No. 4211, be and the same is hereby amended in so far as same
deals with the definition of the congested district and the
said congested district is redefined as follows:
"The congested district shall include: Markham to
Eighth on Scott, Bridge Street to Ninth on Main, Markham to
Eighth on Louisiana, Markham to Seventh on Center, Fifth to
Seventh on Spring, Scott to Louisiana on Eighth, Scott to
Spring on Seventh, Scott to Spring on Sixth, Scott to Arch
on Fifth, Scott to Center on Fourth, Scott to Center on Third,
Scott to Broadway on Second, 6cott to Center on Markham."
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, the control of traffic is im-
portant in the said congested area, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance is found to be necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and
safety, and same shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
