AN ORDINANCE CRATING THE POSITION OF CHIEF RADIO
OPERATOR FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
PROVIDING THE RANK AND SALARY FOR THIS POSITION, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The position of Chief Radio Operator is
hereby created for the Police Department of the City of Little
Rock at a salary of $145.00 per month, beginning July 1, 1937.
The salary shall be paid in the same manner and at the same time as
other police officers of the City of Little Rock are paid.
Section 2. It shall be the duty of the Chief Radio
Operator provided for herein to supervise the operation of radio
station being operated by the Police Department of the City of
Little Rock, and any other radio service the City of Little Rocl�,
and any other radio service the City of Little Rock may install,
and to maintain all equipment and receiving sets used in connection
with the aforementioned radio station.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and it being ascertained
and found that the continued operation of a radio station in
connection with the Police Department of the City of Little Rock
is for the benefit of the health, peace and safety of the City of
Little Rock, this ordinance is in force and effect July 1, 1937•
An emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1,
1937•
