rm Ordinance to create a Municipal Golf Course Commission, provide
for the length of terms of the commissioners, for the selection
Of Commissioners to fill vacancies, to repeal Section 985 of
Brickhouse and Castle's Digest of the Ordinances of the city of
Little Rock, and for other purposes.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock.
Sec. 1, There is$ hereby created a Municipal Golf Commission
consisting of-.three members, who shall be appointed by the 1.1ayof and
confirmed by the Council, to serve tru s of tyro, four, and six, y
years each, length of terms to be designated ti ^,Then appointed-
Sec. 2, In case a vanancy shall oceury on said commissionk
before the expiration of the term a member thereof, said vacancy
shall be filled by the remaining members of the commission, subject
to confirmation by the council? Vacancies occurring upon expiration
of the term of a cormAssioner shall be filled by the remaining
members subject to confirmation by the council.
Sec. 3, Section 985 of Brickhouse and Castle's digest of the
ordinances of the City of Little Rock is hereby repealed.
Sec. 4, Said commission shall have power to make rules and regula-
tions to govern the 4mangement and activities upon said iunicipal
Colf course, and when said rules and regulations are made and
publishdd, by news -paper publication, or reasonable public notice
by other methods, the same shall for the Wagement of said Golf
:;ourse have the saae force and effect as a city Ordinance.
Sec. 5, ,11 Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and if any part of --this Ordinance
shall by a court be declared of no force and ef=fect the remaining
parts of said - ordinance shall remain on full force nd effect.
Sec. 6, n commission and rules and regulations being necessary
for the proper management of the Elunicipal Golf Course, and a
properly managed golf Course being necessary forlthe Public,peace,
health,and safety an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
