5492S ORDINANCE NO. 5492 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $24,246.22 FOR PAYMENT OF MATURING HRINCIPAL, INTEREST AND SERVICE CHARGES OF 5% IMPROVEMENT BONDS (AIRPORT, FIRE EQUIP! + ?iENT AND HOSPITAL) DATED NOVEMBER 1, 1929, DUE SEPTEi:iBER 1, 1937 VARIOUS, OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1. That the sum of $24,246.22 be, and the same is hereby appropriated out of the 5% Sinking Fund for payment of the following indebtedness of the City of Little Rock, due and payable at the office of Halsey, Stuart and Company, Chicago, Illinois on September 1, 1937: Maturing principal $12,000.00 Semi-annual interest at 5% per annum on $488,00V outstanding bonds - 12, 200.00 Service Charges Paying September 1, 1937 principal - 1/8 of 1% of $12,000.00 X15.00 Paying September 1, 1937 interest - 1/4 of 1% of $12,200.00 30.50 45.50 Postage on shipments of paid and cancelled coupons - January to June, 1937, inclusive .72 Total amount due X24,246.22 and the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to issue a warrant or warrants therefor, payable to the Peoples National Bank, for the purposes herein recited, of such maturity, interest and service charges as they deem for the best interests of the City. Section 2. That the City Treasurer is hereby directed to forward to the Halsey, Stuart and Company of Chicago, Illinois, out of the 5% Sinking Fund, the sum of $12,000.00 to pay the maturing principal of 5% Improvement Bonds (Airport, Fire Equipment and Hospital) numbered 68 to 79, inclusive, and $12,246.22 to pay interest, service charges and postage, same being due and payable at the office of Halsey, Stuart and Company of Chicago, Illinois on September 1st, 1937.
