AN ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF PRIVILEGE TAX
ON SERVICE STATIONS: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMTCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. From and after the passage of this
ordinance, the following privilege tax shall be charged upon
operators of service stations within the city of little Rock:
Pump Tax
$24.00 per
year
Wash & Grease Rack, where operated with
3 gasoline pumps or less, per station
1.00 per
year
Wash & Grease Rack, where operated in excess
of 3 gasoline pumps, per station
10.00 per
Year
Exclusive Wash & Grease Rack
25.00 per
year
Cold Drinks
2.50 per
year
Battery Charging - Where only one to
three unit charger is used,
minimum
5.00 Der

Three to six unit charger
10.00 per

Six to twelve unit charger
20.00 per

Twelve to twenty -five unit charger

Stock exemption up to $25.00, over $25.00 --
1% with
a minimum of $5.00.
SECTION 2. Any person violating any provision of this
ordinance by failing to pay any of the privilege tax in the
above schedule shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine not less than
Five Dollars ($5.00), nor more than Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00),
each day of said violation shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. It being determined that the regulation
of service stations is necessary for the public peace, health,
and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
