Al ORDINANCE DECLARING LOT FIVE (5) AND ALI, OF LOT FOUR
(4) EXCEPT THE NORTH T1ELVE (12) FEET THEREOF, IN BLOCK FIVE (5),
HiLLCREUT ADDITION IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, TO BE iN THE
APARTMENT DISTRICT; ATTENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5420; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the Property known as Lot five (5) and
all of Lot Four (4) except the North twelve (12) feet thereof, in
Block Five (5), Hillcrest Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, is hereby declared to be in the " Apartment District"
under the terms of Zoning Ordinance No. 5420.
Section 2. Ordinance No. 5420 and the map thereof
attached and made a part thereof are hereby amended to Permit
the reclassificr;tion of the above described Property from the
present "Residential District" to that of "Apartment District,"
and said property shall hereafter be '_mown and classified as
being in the "Apartment District."
Section 3. The City Engineer of the City of Little Rock
is hereby authorized and directed to issue a building permit for
the construction of a four — family apartment to be built upon said
above — described property upon the payment of the proper fee
therefor, and provided said contemplated construction meets all
other building requirements.
Section 4. 'Whereas, the construction of this ;proposed
apartment building will greatly improve the surrounding property,
and, whereas, immediate construction will- provide work for many
now unemployed and sane is necessary for the peace, health and
happiness of the citizens of Little Rock, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
