ORDINANCE N0. 5548
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $15,000 OR SO MUCH THEREOF AS
MAY BE NECESSARY FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY FOR THE PURCHASE
OF FIRM EQUIPMENT; AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKNASAS:
Section 1. That the Mayor and Board of Public Affairs are here-
by authorized to advertise for -and receive bids on the following Fire

specifications for said equipment to be contained in said advertise-
vent to be approved by the Chief of the Fire Department.
Section 2. After receipt of said bids said Board of Public
Affairs shall submit same to the City Council with the Board of Public t
Affairs recommendation for purchase.
Section 3. There is hereby appropriated out of the General
Revenue Fund City of Little Rook the sum of $15,000 or so much thereof
as may be necessary for the purchase of said equipment.
Section 4. It being ascertained by the City Council that the
above equipment is necessary to combat fires that may arise in Little
Rock and that same is necessary for the public peace, health and
safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and
