AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION NO. 1852 BRICKHOUSE &
CASTLE DIGEST WHICH IS SECTION ONE OF ORDINANCE NO.
659 PASSED FEBRUARY 3, 1896; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITT143 ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. That Ordinance Ito . 659 approvted
February 3, 1896, be amended to read as follows to -wit:.
Hereafter all persons, firms, corporations,
administrators, receivers, agents, or other persons having super-
vision of, or collecting rents, or owning, property in the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, or within One (1) mile of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, which is located within Three Hundred (300)
feet of any Sewer erected by the City, or by any improvement
district under the Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas .
shall when ordered by the Board of Health of this City build SewerE
each building on their premises which is inhabited by one or

more persons, so as to c- onnect their water closets, sinks and
drains with said Sewer.
SECTION 2. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
UECTION 3. The lack of connection to Sewers
creating a nuisance and being a menace to the health of the
citizens of the City of Little Rock, and this Ordinance being
necessary to require the connection of said Sewers, an emergency
is hereby declared to'exist, and this Ordinance shall be in full
