ORDINANCE # 558 .3.
AN OADINANCE APPAOPRIATING THE Strad OF NINE HUNDRED
FIFTY ONE DOLLARS JW, <'i'HE GOAL FM FOR THE -FL
POSE OF PAYING CERTAIN BILLS INCUAHED IN THE CON:-
STRUCTION OF THE NEW JAIL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE xOCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the
general fund of the city the sum of Nine Hundred Fifty One Dollars
to pay Mesker Brothers Iron Company, said amount being for bills and
expense incurred in the construction of the new jail. The Mayor and
City Clerk are authorized and directed to issue the city's warrant
'fo'r the said amount to said firm.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, the immediate compketion of
the city jail is necessary, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this ordinance is found to be necessary for the
immediate preservation of public peace, health and safety, and
same shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
