ORDINANCE # 5599.
AN ORDINANCE FIXING CFRT IN REJULATIONS FOR THE
PARKING OF AUTOMOBILES ON PARKING LOTS IN THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR TH3 VIOLATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiT"Y OF TITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Teat from and after the passage and
approval of this ordinance it shall be a misdemeanor for the
owner or operator of any parking lot to permit parking of any
vehicle on said lot so that the vehicle is closer than Eighteen'
(18) inches'to the sideValk, or the walkway used by pedestrians.
Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this
ordinance shall. be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con
viction in the Little Rock Municipal Court, shall be fined in
any sum not less than Two Dollars 02.00) nor more than Five
Dollars ($5.00), and each automobile parked in violation of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed a separate offense.
ECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is necessary for the pro-
tection of the pedestrians.topravent parking of automobiles so
that they interfere with pedestrians use of sidewalks and walk
ways, an emergency, therefore, is hereby declared to exist, and
this ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace,health and safety and same
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
