AN ORDINANCE MINA BRIDGE STREET A ONE -WAY STREET,
AND THE ALLEY NORTH OF MARKHAM STREET FROM MAIN

AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. From and after the - passage and
approval of this Ordinance it shall be unlawful for any vehicle
to use Bridge Street from Main to Scott Street while traveling
East, and said Street shall be open only to traffic traveling "hest
SECTION 2.. From and after the passage and
approval of this Ordinance the Alley North of Markham Street
immediately behind the McGehee Hotel, from Main to Louisiana
Street shall be open only to traffic traveling West' and no-
.
vehicle of any kind traveling East shall use said Alley.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm, or corporation
violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and.upon conviction in the Little Rock Municipal
Court shall -be fined'in any sum not less than One Dollar ($1.00)
or more than Five Dollars ( #5.00).
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, much confusion and
congestion has resulted in traffic which moves ae<ross the Main
ftftet- Bridge, and this congestion causes great ineonvenienes
drivers of vehicles, and said situation should be remedied
Immediately, therefore, an emergency is found to exist and this -
Ordinance is - found to be necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public poses, health, and safety, and the same shall be in
full - force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
