AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5420 OF THE ORDINANCE'
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, for the re- zoning and classification
of Lots 1, 11 & 12 of Block 2 in West Rock addition to the City
of Little Rock, and for other purposes.
Whereas, it is ascertained that the lots and realty herein
after described in Section one of this Ordinance, is situated
in an area contiguous to and abutting present existing business
property, and
Ylhereas, the said described property and realty because of
the topography and location of same is now and will in the fut-
ure be suitable only for business and industrial purposes, but
by the terms of Ordinance No. 5420 such use is prohibited, there-
fore be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas:
Section 19 That Ordinance No. 5420 and the plat exhibited
therein and made a part thereof, be and the same is hereby
amended in the following particulars, to -wit; that the property
and realty described as Lots 1, 11 & 12 of Block 2 in 'Vest
Rock .Addition to the City of Little Rock, be and the same is
hereby declared to be a commercial and MH" business district
under designations of Section 16 and "Ht *, in accordance with the
terms of the said Ordinance No. 5420.
Section 2. INhereas, the passage of this Ordinance will re-
sult in the improvement of the property and real estate mentioned
herein and said improvements will be the means of giving employ -
ment to a number of persons and the expenditure of a considerable
outlay of cash for the erection of said improvement and said Ord-
inance being necessary for the preservation of the public health,
peace and safety of the citizens of the City of Little Rock, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage.
