SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2488, approved March 11, 1918
lis hereby amended by striking out in its entirety, Section 2 of

Isaid Ordinance, inserting in lieu thereof the following Section:
'Section 2. All employees engaged in any business
'f mentioned above must be examined and certified as free from any
i
i contagious., infectious or communicable disease.
Each person
engaged in any capacity in a business above mentioned must be
i
vaccinated against typhoid fevw and smallpox. The vaccination
� t
!required by this paragraph shall be done free of charge by officers
of the City Health Department.. The medical examination herein
1
t required shall be done by the Officers of the City Health Departmen ,
and a certificate shall be furnished by the City Health Department
showing that such person is free from any and all contagious,
! 9infectious or communicable diseases. The examinations with referen e
r
to contagious, infectious or communicable diseases shall be made
semi- annually and the Health,Detpartment shall collect the sum of
F'ifty Cents (.50¢) for each ..semi`- annual inspection before a
certificate is issued. All Omployeas shall retain and keep in
their possession while on duty -- Heir certificate so that such !

certificate may be checked by jfiy duly constituted representative
of the City of Little Rock. No person, firm or corporation shall
have in his employment any person who does not have such certificat a'

convi tion in the Little Rock Municipal Court shall be fined in any

Section 2. WHEREAS, this Ordinance is necessary for
the protection of the health of the Citizens of Little Rock, an
