AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD
OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO
ADVEF:TISE FOP, AI1D RECEIVE BIDS FOR PURCHASE OF
ALL CITY GARBAGE; A?`?D FOR OTHER PURPOSES

SECTION 1. The City Council contemplates placing a charge
upon the collection of Garbage in the City of Little Ro -ck, and by 1
proper Ordinance providing that all said Garbage shall be delivered
to the City Dump where it can be sold to anyone desiring to
purchase same; and in vie,v of such action the Board of Public
Affairs of the City of Little Roc? ,, is hereby authorized. and
directed to advertise for bids for the purchase of all City
Garbage, and the Board is further directed to ma'_,e a report to the
Council of the best and most responsible bidder.
SECTION 2. 'HE�tEA.S, It is necessary to make arrangements
Ito let the proper contract for the purchase of Garbage in order
that the Budget for the ensuing year can be properly made., an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance is found
jto be necessary for the immediate preservation of the public pease,
health, and safety, and the same shall be in full force and effect
(from and after its passage and arproval.
