5669ORDINANCE NO. 566, AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE OF STALE BREAD, CAKES OR PASTRIES, EXCEPTING AT THE PLACE OF THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AM Section Section 1. It shall be unlawful from and after this date for any person, firm or corporation to sell or offer for sale any bread, cakes or pastries either manufactured from wheat, rye, or other products, which bread, cakes or pastries have been manufactured for more than 49 hours, unless same is offered for sale upon the premises where said specific bread, cakes or pastries were baked. Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con- viction thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than $10.00 and than #100.00. Section 3. Code on bread must be sent to the City Food Inspector previous to being delivered in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Section 4. It is hereby ascertained and declared that this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of public health and safety, and an emergency exists and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
