AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF #1,485.00 FROM
THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY TO PAY THE SOUTHWESTERN
BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY 1938 RENTAL. ON POLES USED BY
THE CITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the General
ftnot of the City, the sum of One Thousand Your Hundred Twenty -five j
Dollars (#1,,425.00) to pay the Southw estern Bell Telephone Company
the annual rental charge on 1140 poles used by the City of Tpittle
Rock. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to issue the
City's warrant to the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for said
amount, which will be payment in full for rental charges for 1938.
SECTION 2.. WHEREAS$ The Southwestern Bell Telephone Company
has made demand of payment, and payment should be made immediately,
an emergency is hereby d6elared to exist, and this Ordinance is
found to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health, and safety, and same shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
