AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE FURNISHING OF THE FIRS
FIGHTING FACILITIES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE
PROTECTION OF PROPERTY LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE CITY
LIVITSw SETTING UP REGULATIONS UNDER WHICH S1.ID FIRE
FIGHTING FACILITIES WILL BE USED; PROVIDING FOR A.
SCHEDULE OF CHARGES FOR SUCH PROTECTION; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SIMON 1. From and after the passage and approval of tbl
Ordinance any person, firm or corporation within a radius of One
and one -half (1J) miles of the Corporate limits of the City. of
Little Rock is granted the privilege of applying to the City Counci
for limited fire fighting equipment protection. City Council may
at its discretion approve or reject any such application.
If the City Council. approves an application, the fire fight
ing facilities of the City of Little Rock shall then be available
to such applicant, but they shall be available only upon the foil
ing conditions:
(1) An agreement shall be signed by the applicant which
agreement shall state that the City of Little Rock agrees to
furnish only limited fire fighting equipment, and the applicant
shall agree that any portion or all of this equipment may be re-
called at any time by the City when in the Judgement of the Chief
of the Fire Department that such equipment is necessary for fire .
protection within the City of Little Rock. Said agreement shall
further provide that the City does not under take to guarantee any
fire fighting results, and offerer: only such reasonable equipment as

cant shall agree that no claims of any kind or nature shall

or operation of the equipment.
(2) The applicant shall pay in advarnee to the City Clerk an
ready to serve fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) where

(a) The dole purpose of this Ordinance is to offer service
to separate values aubjeat to fire damage, and the grouping of one
or more properties shall not be allowed for the purpose of this
IO�rdinanee.
(4) In addlition to the above fee than• applicant shell gay a
usage fee of Fifty Dollar& ( #50.00) per hoar or fraction thereof
.for each fire fighting company which responds to an alarm on the
premises of the applicant, wh6ther the alarm 1s false or comes as
a result of a fire. Only one fire fighting company shall respond
to an alarm on the premtnes of any applicant unless the duly
authorized agent of the applicant request additional companies.
The City shall not be bound to dispatch any equipment unless the
equipment is available , and is not needed at the time for fighting
fire within the City Limits.
(5) Failure of the applicant to pay any fee set out in this
Ordinance within ten days after receiving due notice from the City
shall void all agreements between the applicant and the City
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is . willing to
