SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk -kre hereby
authorized and empowered and directed to issue a warrant on the
City's General -Vnd in the sum of $260.00, payable to W. 0. T.
Watkins, Trustee for the family of A. H. Brown, deceased, and the
said W. 0. T. Watkins is directed to pay to the said family of
A. H. Brown the sum of ten dollars on the first day of each and
every month until said fund is paid in full. Said A. H. ?gown
was accidentally killed by an officer of the Little Rock Police
Departmen t.
It is understood that the acceptance of said suia'of
$260.00 by said W. 0. T. Watkins, as Trustee for the family
of A. H. Brown, will constitute a full settlement and acquit-
tance of any and all claims by the family of said A. H. Brown
and of every member thereof growing out of the killing of said
A. H. Brown.
SECTION 2. Whereas, the family of A. H. Brown is in
immediate need of said money, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and thi:3 Ordinance is found to be necessary for trie imme-
diate preservation of the public peace„ health and safety, and
the same shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
