AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE, RECEIVE BIDS ON, AND PURCHASE THE
ARTICLES HEREIN NAMED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE
RO K, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs, having
transmitted to the Council an estimate of the following
purchases, with their recommendation in relation thereto,
the Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized to make
the following expenditures after having advertised for bids,
and after having let the contract to the lowest bidder:
Police Department, supplies to be used in the
City Jail, not to exceed $410.00,
Public Works Department, materials not to exceed
$5,000.00,
City Clerks office, equipment not to exceed $410.00,
City Hospital, supplies not to exceed $3,000.00,
Department of Health, purchase of mosquito spray
oil, not to exceed $1,500.00.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is necessary to the public
peace, health, and safety that the foregoing articles be bid
upon and purchased immediately, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
