AN ORDINANCE CREATING A COMMISSION TO BE KNOWN AS THE -LITTLE
ROCK AUDITORIUM COY - MISSION, NAMING THE MEMBERS
THEREOF, DESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES, REPEALING ALL
LAWS IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. There is hereby created in accordance
with Act 355 of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas
for 1939 an Auditorium Commission for the City of Little_Rock,
Arkansas, to be known as the Little Rock Auditorium Commission.
Said Commission shall be a honorary commission composed of
five (5) members and shall hold office for a term of years
as follows:
<. Sam Grundfest One year
Mrs. Gus Walton - Two years
R. M. Williams - Three years
Edward L. Wright- Four years
H. Grady Manning- Five years.
Upon the occurrence of a vacancy in said Commission either by
expiration of the term or otherwise said vacancy shall be
filled by an appointment by the mayor subject to the approval
of the majority vote of the City Council.
Section 2. The said Auditorium Commission is hereby

of the State of Arkansas and charged with all duties imposed
thereby in the management and operation of said and tort: ,.
Section 3. Said Commission shall organize by the op;4it-
ion of one of its members as Chairman, one as Secretary and
one as Treasurer. Any member of the Commission may serve as

both Secretary and Treasurer if the Commission so desires.
Section 4. That Ordinance No. 5596 and all other
ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
I be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
