ORDINANCE N0. 5717
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $250.00 FROM
THE SPECIAL AUDITORIUM CONSTRUCTION FUND FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PAYING THE FIRM OF WALTON, SULLIVAN
COMPANY FOR AN OVER- PAYMENT MADE TO THE CITY IN THE
PURCHASE OF THE BONDS OF THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL
AUDITORIUM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the
Special Auditorium Construction Fund the sum of Two Hundred Fifty
Oollars ($250.00) for the purpose of paying Walton - Sullivan
Company for an over - payment which the said Walton- Sullivan Company
made to the City of Little Rook in the transaction with reference
to purchase of bonds of the Little Rock Municipal Auditorium. The
Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to issue
the City's warrant in said amount, and the City Treasurer is
authorized to pay said warrant from any fund in his hand to the
credit of the Auditorium Construction Fund.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, said amount was an over - payment and
said Walton - Sullivan Company is entitled to the money, and the
City of Little Rook should not hold money rightfully belonging to
other persons, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
Ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health and safety, and same shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
