BE IT ORD&IN,RD BY THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROC K0 ARKANSAS
MOTION I. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute a deed conveying the following described
grVerty to the united States Government.-
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the National
Cemetery, located in Sec. 11, Tug. I ff., R. IS 0;
Thence West 425 feet to public road; Thence North -
westerly along said public road. 8S.8 feet, Iron Pin;
Thence Bast 732.8 feet to the Northwest corner of
the said National Cemetery- Thence South 828.17 feet
to point of beginning.
SM-101t P.. This deed herein authorized Is to supersede the
deed executed by the City on February 7, 1913 for the reason that,
in that dead it was provided that the property could be used only
for the burial of those only in the Military and Naval service of
the Confederate States, and it is now apparent that all of the
property will not be necessary for this use.
SECT ION 3. Whereas the Government In de s i rau of imme d 1 at e
execution of this deed, and the immediate execution of the deed
•is ' n eessary in order for the Government to properly care for the
Cemetery, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
Ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health, and safety, and the same shall be in
full farce and effect from and after its passage and approval.
