AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0. 5+20 OF THE ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No 5+20 of the ordinances of
the City of Little Rock and the map attached 'thereto are hereby
amended so as to change the classification of Lot One (1), Block
Three (3) W, B. Worthen's Addition to the City of Little Rook,
from residential property to commercial district property, and
j to permit the building of a filling station thereon.
SECTION 2. After the passage and approval of this
{ ordinance, the- City- Engineer of the City of Little Rock is hereby
authorized and di rented to alter and change the map attached to
,$ Ordinance No. 5420 of the City of Little Rock to reflect and show

that Lot One (1), Block Three (3), W. B. Worthen's Addition to
the City of Little Rock is classified as commercial district
property. upon application of the owner of said lot, the City
Engineer shall issue a permit to erect a filling station on the same.
SECTION 3. It being ascertained by the City Council
of the City of Little Rock that when Ordinance No. 5+20 was passed
by the City ' Council, Lot One (1), Block Three (3) , W. B. Worthen's
Addition to the City of Little Rock had thereon a store building
and was being used as business property; that the present owner of
said lot purchased it before the passage of said Ordinance solely
for business purposes and had no notice when the classification
was changed to residential property; that because of the condition
of said lot its immediate improvement will be for the benefit of the
public peace, health and safety of the citizenship of Little Rook,
therefore an emergency is declared to exist and all ordinances and
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and
this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage and approval.
