AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
AFFAIRS TO RECEIVE BIDS FOR AND PURCHASE CERt,
TAIN SUPPLIES AS HEREIN SET OUT: AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. The Mayor and Board of Public Affairs are
hereby authorized and directed to receive bids for and to make 1
oontraots for the purchase of the following suppliesst
(1). Oil, approximately 1,200 gallons, for the next
quarter.
(2). Transmission Grease, approximately 600 pounds,
for the next quarter.
(3). Diesel Fuel, approximately 600 gallons for the
next quarter.
(4). Chasis Grease, approximately 750 pounds, for
the next quarter.
(5). Bronze Gasoline, approximately 15,000 gallons,
for the next quarter.
(6). Ethyl Gasoline, approximately 12,000 gallons,
for the next quarter.
(7) . Light Globes for street lights, offices, etc.,
approximately $2,500.00 for the year ending
August 1st, 1940.
(8). Tires of various sizes as needed by the City's
oars and trucks, approximately $500.00 for the
next quarter.
SECTION 2. The contracts shall specify that the sup-
plies shall be purchased on requisition of the Purchasing Agent
of the City of Little Rock as needed and the City of Little Rook
shall not be responsible for the purchase of any supplies except
such ae are requisitioned from time to time by the Purchasing
Agent.
SECTION 3. SAS; said supplies are needed imme-
diately, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordi-
nance is found to be necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public peace, health, and safety, and the same shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and apprbbal.
