AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE ADDIT IC NAL POSITIONS
OF ONE (1) AIRPORT ATTENDANT AND ONE (1) TRAC-
TOH DRIVER FOR THE AIRPORT; FIXING THE SAL.FRIES
THEREFOR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. That from and after the passage and ap-
proval of this Ordinance, there is hereby created the additional
positions of One (1) Airport Attendant and One (1) Tractor
Driver for the Little Rock Municipal Airport. Each of the said
employees shall receive the salaries of Seventy -five Dollars
($75.00) per month, payable as other City salaries are paid.
SECTION 2. The Airport 1111anager, with the approval
of the Civil Service Commission, shall define the duties and
qualifications of said employees and until such time as eligi-
ble lists are created by the Civil Service Commission for these
positions, the Mayor, with the approval of the Civil Service
Commission, shall have the authority to immediately name em-
ployees to -:uch positions on a temporary basis.
SECTION 3. '- EEREAS; it is immediately necessary to
have such employees available at the airport to aid in handling
the Airport properties and the business of the Airport, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance is
found to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health, and safety, and the same shall \be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
