AN ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT THE DUMPING OF TRASH,
GARBAGE, OR OTHER WASTE 114ATERIALS WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OR WITHIN ONE (1) MILE THEREOF;
FIXING A.PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. From and after the passage and approval
of this Ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or
corporation to dump trash, garbage, or other waste materials
within the corporate limits of the City of Little Rock or within
One (1) mile thereof, except at those places which the Board of
Health and the City Health Officer may from time to time desig-
nate.
SECTION 2. Any person, firm, or corporation who shall)
dump any trash, garbage, or any other waste materials at places
within the City limits or one (1) mile thereof not designated by
the Board of Health or.the Q.1ty Health Officer shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in
any sum not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Twenty-
five Dollars ($25.00).

SECTION 3. Any person furnishing information leading
to the arrest, conviction and the fining of any person violating
the provisions of this Ordinance shall receive a reward of Five
Dollars ($5.00) payable out of said fine.
SECTION 4. The Board of Health and the City Health
Officer, or either of them, are hereby empowered to designate
places at which trash, garbage and other materials may be dumped,j
SECTION 5. WHEREAS,; many persons are dumping trash
and garbage within the City limits and one mile thereof, and sine
such dumping constitutes a menace to the public health, an emer-
gency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinanee.is found to
be necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health, and safety, and the same shall be in full force and effee�
from and after its passage and approval.
