13648-C1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 RESOLUTION NO. 13,648 -C A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUNBELT FIRE FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) E -ONE CYCLONE II AS A FIRE PUMPER APPARATUS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT, IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY -FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ($474,000.00), UTILIZING THE HOUSTON - GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department needs to replace aging, front -line fire units; and, WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Departments recommends the purchase of one E -One Cyclone II as a Fire Department Apparatus for the amount of Four Hundred Seventy -Four Thousand Dollars ($474,000.00), utilizing the Houston - Galveston Area Council Cooperative Purchasing Agreement, which will provide the optimal pricing and delivery options for this purchase; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Sunbelt Fire, utilizing the Houston - Galveston Area Council Cooperative Purchasing Agreement, for the purchase of one (1) E -One Cyclone 11, for the Little Rock Fire Department in the amount of Four Hundred Seventy -four Thousand Dollars ($474,000.00). Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2013 Fleet Replacement Fund received from the 3/8 -Cent Capital Sales Tax. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
