AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #4868 OF THE ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK WITH REFERENCE TO THE LOCA-
TION OF THE FIRE LIMITS; DESCRIBING THE FIRE LIMITS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1: Section 1, Paragraph ft-Att' of Ordinance No.
4868 of the Ordinances of the City of Little Rock is hereby amender
to read as follows:
n(a)- Beginning on the south bank of the Arkansas River
at a point which would be the center line of McLean Street
if extended, thence south along the center line of McLean
Street to a point one hundred fifty (150) feet east of
Rock Street; thence south to a point one hundred fifty
(150) feet south of Tenth Street; thence west to a point
one hundred fifty (150) feet east of Scott Street; thence
south to the south boundary line of the Original City of
Little Rock; thence west along the south boundary of the
Original City of Little Rock to Louisiana Street, north
on Louisiana Street to Twelfth Street, thence west to one
hundred fifty (150) feet west of Broadway, thence north to
a point one hundred fifty (150) feet south of Tenth Street;
thence west to a point one hundred fifty (150) feet west
of High Street_,.,- Vaence north to a point one hundred fifty
(150) feet south of Ei hth Street; thence west to a point
one hundred fifty (1501 feet west of Battery Street; thence
north of Seventh Street one hundred fifty (150) feet; thence
east to Bishop Street; thence north to the center line of-
Third Street; thence east to a point one hundred fifty
(150) feet west of Wood Lane, thence north to the Missouri
Pacific Railroad right -of -way); thence northeasterly along
the railroad right-of-way/to a point one hundred fifty
(150) feet feet east of Cross Street; thence south to a
point one hundred fifty (150) feet north of Markham; thence
east to Gaines Street; thence north to the Arkansas River;
thence east along the Arkansas River to a point of begin
ning.e
SECTION 2: WHEREAS; It is important to the citizens
of the City of Little .Rock to have the fire limits of the city
adequately defined and said fire limits are important to the citi-
zens for the proper fire protection, an emergency is hereby found
to exist and this ordinance is found to be necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and
the same shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
