AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION #2125 OF BRICKHOUSE &
CASTLE'S DIGEST TO FIX THE TIME AND PLACES OF PARKING
DURING STREET CLEANING HOURS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY,OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARK BY-THE
SECTION 1: Section #2125 of Brickhouse & Castle's Di-
gest shall be amended to read as follows: "STREET CLEANING HOURS
--No one shall park any vehicle in the congested district between)
the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M., except that vehicles may per
on . in Street from Bridge Street to Tenth Street, Markham Street
from Main Street to Louisiana Street, Louisiana Street from Mark-
ham Street to Eighth Street, and Cjapitol Avenue from Main Street
to Spring Street until 4:00 A.M. at which time it shall be unlaw-
ful to park on these streets between 4:00 and 5::00 A.M."
SECTION 2: WHEREAS; the parking of vehicles between
the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. has prevented the City from
keeping its streets clean and since the cleaning of streets is
necessary to the preservation and protection of the public peace,
health, and safety, an emergency is hereby found to exist and thin
ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health and safety, and the same shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
