A TAXICAB SERVICE INTO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCS; FEMW

AS it has been determined that there is a need for the
op*rat sa of throeah taadcab servLoo Treat the $Meat None T*Sk t5
on the Little Book -Pins Bluff Highway to the corner of Thirtieth
and College Streets within the City boundaries; and
MERMAN, ffir. Horace A. Illing has offered to furnish such
service and to operate a sufficient service from the Sweet Home
neighborhood to 30th and College Streets in the City of Little
Rook'` and the said Horace A. Illing has agreed to pay a privilege
tax therefor and has agreed to have all vehicles used by him in
performance of such service inspected by the City and to pay a fee
or such service; and
VaERM9 Capital Transportation Compamy has no objection to
said service because of its exclusive franchise;
NOW, 1'I OM[ BE IT OEDAINM BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LINER ROCS, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. Horae* A. Illing is hereby granted permission to
operate a taxicab serrice from the vioinity of Sweet Home neighbor-
hood on the Little Rook -Pine Bluff Highway to 30th and College
Streeter within the City of Little Rook. The operation of Bush
business is hereby declared to be a privilege for uhich the said
Horace A. Illing shell p a privilege tax to the City Collector
of the City of little Rook's - kansas, in the sum of $5.00 per
month � per vehicle of six (6) passenger capacity.
SECTION '. Since such vehicles need inspection for the
interest and safety of the citizens of the City of Little Rook,
it is hereby ordained that,the said Horace A. Illing shall have each
and every vehicle operated in such service inspected ono* each month
at the City garage and for such inspection service he shall pay
the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) per vehicle per nonth.
SECTION S. The failure to pay the privilege tax as hereinabove
provided for the first day of each month or the failure to have
such inspection service as hereinabove not out shall constitute
s forfeitsre and the said Horace A. IUing shall have no farther
right to operate said service and the o�+oration of said

A.-Illing shall-be liable to proseeotion in the Little U6'k -
amid al Court and upon conviction in the said court he shall be
subject to a fine not less than Five Dollars ( .00) nor more than
Tty -five Dollars ($55.00) , and. each day that said violation cen-
tiz"s shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 4* i39 quite a large residence section has
developed in the Sweet Home neighborhood on the Little Rook-
Pine Bluff Highway and the and of the street ear line now
operated by the Capital Transportation Company ends at 30th
and College Streets and said parsons living in said neighborhood
are in need of transportation, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this Ordinance is found to be necessary for the
idiate preservation of the public, peace, health, and safety,
aad the same shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and app"val.
