AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF BENEFITS
TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE
SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARCELS OF LAND
WITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 5312
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK. ARKANSAS.

lWHEEIZLS, more than two- thirds in''value of the prop --
erty holders owning property adjoining the locality to be af-
fected and situated in Street Improvement District No. 531, in
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of
grading, draining, curbing, guttering, paving and otherwise im-
proving the following described streets, to -wit:
20th Street from the East property line of Valmar
Street to a point 140 feet West of the West line of
Maple Street;
21st Street from the Vest property line of Maple
Street to a point lot? feet West
22nd Street from a point 16 feet East of the
East line of Martin Street to the East line of Valen-
tine Street; thence from the West line of Valentine
Street to the East line of Pine Street;
Martin Street from a point 150 feet South of the
South line of 20th Street to a point 300 feet South
of the South line of 22nd Street;
Valmar Street from the South line of 20th Street
to a point 150 feet South of the South line of 22nd
Street;
Maple Street from the South line of 20th Street
to a point 300 feet South of the South line of 22nd
Street as that line is fixed at the East side of the
intersection of 22nd and Maple Streets; all in the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas;
have petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas, for the construction of said improvements and that the
cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property in said dis-
trict according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block,
lot, and parcel of real property, railroad and railroad right -of-
way situated in said district equals or exceeds the local assess-
ment thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is
$22,000.00, exclusive of interest, and the assessed benefits

amount to $40,290.20; NON, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the several blocks, lots, and parcels
of real property, railroads, and railroad right -of -ways in said

Arkansas, be and they are hereby assessed according to the assess-
ment list as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and as the same may be an-
nually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and that 7 of said
assessment of the value of benefits to each of said blocks, lots
and parcels of land, railroad, and railroad right -of -way shall be
paid on or before the 15th day of June, 1910, in each of the
years 1940 to 1953, inclusive, until the whole of said assessment
shall have been paid, or so much thereof as may be required to pay
the debts of said district.
Section 2. That. all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
