5875ORDINANCE N0. S AN ORDINANCE TO CONVEY CERTAIN REAL PFOPFRTY BELONGING TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, The City cf Little Rock acquired the ownership of property described as the South 41' feet of Lot 71 Block 33 Pettifer's Addi- tion in securing the right -of -way of the property known as the 25th Street right -of -way and said property was not necessary for use in said right -of -way; The City of Little hock was offered in exchange for the above described real property certain other real property owned by York Crawford and described as the South 412 feet of Lot 10, REevests Subdivision of Lots 1 & 12, Block 17, Rapley Estate and other valuable considerations, and said property owned by York Crawford was necessary for said right -of -way; On Acceptance by the City of said offer made by York Crawford it was discovered that the City of Little -tick was unable to give to the said York Crawford a merchantable title to the real property owned by the City of Little Rock; And a co promise has now been reached. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock are authorized and directed to convey by Quitclaim Deed to York Crawford and �k ttie Crawford, his wife, the following described real property, to -wit: South 412 feet of Lot 7, Block 3, Pettifer's Addition to City of Little rock; and said Quitclaim Deed shall be delivered to the grantees, York Crawford and Mattie Crawford, his wife, if and when York Crawford and Mattie Crawford, his wife, give satisfactory evidence of their indebtedness to the City of Little Rock in the sum of Two Hundred and no /100 (4200.00) Dollars bearing interest at 5% per annum from the date of the deed, said indebtedness of �200.00'with interest thereon to be repaid at the rate of Four and no /100 04.00) Dollars per month, said payments to include principal and interest until the debt with interest thereon is paid in full. In the event that the City of Little Rock desires to retain a vendor's lien in the deed above described to secure the pay- ment of the sum of money due the City of Little _ock, on payment of said indebt- edness the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby further authorized, empowe red, and — 2 — directed to deliver to York Crawford and Wattie Crawford, his wife, a release deed releasing said real property from the vendor's lien retained in the deed of conveyance.
