AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIO AFFAIRS TO TAKE
BIDS FOR THE SUPPLYING OF GASOLINE FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE EQUIP-
MENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and the Board of Public Affairs
are hereby authorized and directed to advertise for and receive
bids for the:kupplying 'of the gasoline needed in the operation
of the automotive equipment of the City of Little Rook for the
three months period beginning May 1, 1940, and ending July
31, 1940.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, the present contract for furnish-
ing gasoline expires immediately, and it is necessary to make a
new contract, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public peace, health, and safety, sad the same shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
