ORDINANCE NO. 588+
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO TAKE
BIDS FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE CARLOAD OF MOSQUITO OIL TO BE
USED IN MALARIAL CONTROL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and the Board of Public Affairs
are hereby authorized and directed to advertise for and receive
bids for the furnishing of one carload of mosquito oil to be
used in malarial control.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, the present supply of mosquito oil
to be used in malarial control by the City of Little Rook is
insufficient for the purposes of malarial control and the danger
to the health and wellbeing of the City of Little Rock from neg-
lecting-or failing to take adequate steps for malarial control
is great, an:'emergenoy is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public peace, health, and safety, and the same shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
