ORDINANCE NO. 5885
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4868 OF THE ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK WITH REFERENCE TO THE LOCATION OF THE
FIRE LIMITS; DESCRIBING THE FIRE LIMITS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1. Section i, Pararap'`As of ordinance No.
496t of the Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"(a) Beginning on the south bank of the Arkansas
River at a point which would be the center line of
McLean Street if extended, thence south along the
center line of McLean Street to a point 150 feet
south of Sixth Street; thence ffest to a point 150
feet east of Rock Street; thence south to a point
150 feet south of Tenth Street; thence west to a
point 150 feet east of Scott Street, thence south
to the south boundary line of the Original City of
Little Rock; thence west along the south boundary
of the Original City of Little Rock to Louisiana
Street, north on Louisiana Street to Twelfth Street,
then Nest to 150 feet west of Broadway,t hence north
to a point 150 feet south of Tenth Street; thence
West to a point 150 feet west of High Street, thence
north to a point 150 feet south of Eighth Street;
thence west to the center line of Bishop Street,
r thence north to the center line of Third Street;
thence east to a point 150 feet west of Woodlane;
thence north to the Missouri Pacific Railroad
right -of -way; thence northeasterly along the
railroad right -of -way to a point 150 feet east of
Cross Street; thence south to a pointl50 feet
north of Markham; thence east to Gaines Street;
thence north to the Arkansas River; thence East
along the Arkansas River to a point of beginning."
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is important to the citizens
of the City of Little Rock to have the fire limits of the city
adequately defined aid said fire limits are important to the
citizens for the proper fire protection, an emergency is hereby
a =nd to exist and this ordinance is found to be necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and
safety, and the same shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
