5887ORDINANCE # 5987 AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE.CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO BE A NUISANCE; ORDERING ITS REMOVAL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS SECTION 1: That whereas, the owners'of' the fol1owir3g described property, to -wit: 300 South Valentine - House 601 Wolfe Street - House 603 Wolfe Street - House 22.17 Arch Street -Barn in rear 316 North Monroe - House have allowed the buildings located on said property deteriorate to the extent that said buildings have been found by the Health Of- ficer of trba Little Rock Jr to be hazardous in that they and each of them, constitute a fire hazard, and in addition are dangerous to the life and limb of the public; and same -4nd each of -- 'h* - hereby declared, to be nuisances. And - th® Chi " is hereby instructed to serve the owner or` owners of each of said pieces of property with a copy of this Ordinance and notify said owner or owners that the respective pieces of property must either be torn down and removed or remodeled within thirty days from the date hereof. SECTION 2: In the event the owner or owners of any of j said pieces of property cannot be located, the Chief of Police is E ! instructed to serve said notice by posting a copy of this Ordinanc on the front door of each of said buildings and report such notion .;: a . SECTION 3: Any owner or owners of any of the within doscribed property failing or refusing to conform to'the' grov sioa of this Ordinance, shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor and upon` C conviction thereof In the Little Rock Municipal• Court shall be fined in any sum not less than Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00). rr f w 2 4o SECTION 4: The City Attorney is hereby authorized. and instructed to proceed to take all necessary court action in order to secure the removal of the property herein declared to be a nui- sance if same is not removed or remodeled within thirty (30) days of the date hereof. SECTION 5: "Witte to the 'constant fire hazard and' the ger that these pieces of property present to the public safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance being ne- cessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and the same shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
