AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FIFTY -FOUR THOUSAND
FIFTY AND no/100 DOLLARS ( #54,050.00) OUT OF THE PROCEEDS
OF THE AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY AS AN*ADDITION TO THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL
AIRPORTt AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO ENTER
INTO CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO
CONSTITUTE"AN ADDITION TO THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL AIRPORT;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCKt
Section 1. Whereas, the City of Little Rook finds it
necessary and desirable to increase the physical afea of its
municipal airport, and, whereas, the City now has the oppor-
tunity to purchase certain real property, more particularly
described herein, and improvements thereon, which real prop-
erty is found to be suitable and appropriate for said pur-
pose of increasing the physical area of the municipal airport,
NOW, THEREFORE, the sum of Fifty -four Thousand Fifty
and no/100 Dollars ($54,050.00) is hereby appropriated out
of the Airport Construction Fund to be used for the purchase
of the following described real property, said real property
constituting an addition to the Little Rook Municipal Airport,
as follows$
I. 101.15 acres, more or less, bordering on Fourche
Pik Pike and Airport Pike, lying immediately South,
Egst and Southeast of the Pikes and known as the
Bourne Farm, being legally described as all of the
West One -half (Wj) of the Southwest Quarter (SW .-)
of Section Seven (7), and all of the East one -half
(NJ) of the Southeast Quarter (8Ej) of Section
Twelve (12), Township One North (Twp. 1 N), Range
Twelve west (R 12 W), lying South of the paved
highway except a right- of -wyy taking off a small
strip in the Southwest corner of the East One -half
(E$) of the Southeast Quarter (SE *)•
II. Part of East One -half (Eg) Southwest quarter (SW6),
Section Seven (7), Township One North (Twp. 1 N),
Range Eleven Rest (R 11 W), Pulaski County, more
particularly described as followsr Begin on the
South line of said Section Seven (7) at a point
704.57 'feet West of the Southeast corner of said
Southwest Quarter (SWj) thence West 535.43 feet;
thence North 2640 feet; to the North line of said
Southwest Quarter (SWI); thence East 535.43 feet
to a point which is 704.57 feet West of the North-
east corner of said Southwest Quarter (Swj); thence
South 2840 feet to the point of beginning, contain-
ing 32.45 acres, more or less.

III. Begin at a point on the South line of the East one -
half (Ea) Southwest Quarter (SAj), Section Seven (7),
Township One North (Twp. 1 N), Range Eleven West
(R 11 N), 894.57 feet West of the Southeast corner
of said East One -half (Ej�, thence best along said
South line 810 feet; thence North 2640 feet to the
North line of said Southwest Quarter (SW-41); thence
East along said North line 310 feet; and thence
South 2640 feet to the point of beginning on South
line of said East One -half (Sj) Southwest Quarter
(8W*) oontaining:18.78 acres, more or less.
Section 2. The mayor and city clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into appropriate contracts with the owners of said lands
title
to acquire a good, merchantableAo said lands on the following
basis: Not more than $30,300900 shall be expended for the ao-
quisition of tract I; not more than $16,500.00 shall be expended
for the acquisition of tract II; not more than $7,250.00 shall
be expended for the acquisition of tract III.
WHEREAS, Immediate acquisition of the lands covered by
this ordinance is vital to the welfare and safety and wbllbeing
of the citizens of Little Reek, aa, omergenoy is hereby #4 ,
to exist and this ordinanoe is found to be necessary for they
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety,
and the same shall be in full force and effect from and after
July 12, 1940.
