AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET IMPROVEM_NT
DISTRICT NO. 540 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
Y,ffEREAS, parties claiming to be owners of more than
two - thirds in assessed value of the property located cwithir.
the territory hereinafter described have filed a petition
praying that an improvement district be established for the
purpose hereinafter set out; and,
WHEKEAS, after due notice as required by law, the City
Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all the
parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said pe-
tition was signed by more than two- thirds in assessed value of
the owners of real property within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, 1',rkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following property:
Lots 4 to 9, inclusive, of Blocks 3 and 4;
Lots 1,2,3,,10..11, and 12 or Block 6;
Lots 1,2, and 3 of Block 7
All in C.O. Kimball and Bodeman's Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, of Jacob Erion's Replat
of Block 5 of C.O. Kimball and Bodeman's Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Lots 1, 2, and 3 of Block 1
All in McIntosh's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas.
for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering and
paving, in such a manner and with such materials as the com-
missioners to be elected for the said improvement district shall
deem to be for the best interest of said district, the following
part of the following street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to -171 t:
;test 7th Street from the West property line of Brown
Street to its intersection with the West line, extended
North, of Lot 1, Block 7 in C.O. Kimball and Bodeman's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from
any agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and

charged upon the real property above described, provided the
liability of each lot or tract of land shall be limited to its
assessed benefits.
Said District shall be known as Street Improvement Dis-
trict No.
940 ; and

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
