AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN
ELECTRIC FAN FOR THE JAIL OFFICE OF THE CITY
JAIL OF TH2 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, _ ARKANSAS.
Section 1. The purchasing agent for the City of Little Rock
is hereby authorized and directed to purchase immediately for the
jail office of the. City Jail of the City of Little Rock one
sixteen -inch oscillating electric fan of a standard make.
Section 2. It being ascertained and found by the City Council
that the jail office of the City Jail of the City of Little Rock
is inadequately ventilated thereby rendering Um donditions in said
office uncomfortable and intolerable during hbt weather, it is
necessary for the benefit of the public peace, health and safety
of the citizenship of the City of Little Rock, and particularly
tre city jailers that a fan be furnished for said office, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and all ordinances and parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith be and they are hereby repealed
and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage and approval.
