AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF
THE BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY EACH
OF '1HE LOTS IN STREET ITvEPRCVET.rENT
DISTRICT NO. 539 OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE OCK, ARKANSAS.
4HEREAS, a majority of more than two - thirds in value
of the property holders owning property adjoining the locality
to be affected and situated in Street Improvement District No.
539 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the
purpose of improving a certain street as therein set out have
petitioned the Council of the City of Little Kock for the con-
struction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof shall
be assessed upon the real property of said district according
to the benefits received; and
NHERE�iS, said benefits to be received by each and every
lot of real property situated in said district equals or exceeds
the local assessment thereon; and
WHERE;S, the estimated cost of sUid improvement is
44,686.50.
THEREFORE, IT IS NO-111 ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE 11?OCK, ARK,�.NS"_S:
Section 1. The said several lots of real property in
said district be assessed according to the assessment list for
said improvement district as the same now remains in the office
of the City Clerk, and that twenty percent (20yo) of the assess-
ment on each of said lots shall be paid annually on or before the
4eday of A of each year, beginning with ,
1940, until the whole of said local assessment of benefits shall
be paid.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and the ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
